Giants Release James Robinson
1 year agoThe New York Giants released running back James Robinson on Sunday, according to a source. Robinson's fall continues. The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent had over 1,000 yards rushing in his first NFL season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020 and had a season-high eight rushing scores the following season, but an Achilles injury suffered late in December of 2021 sapped him of his explosiveness. Since his first two seasons with the Jaguars, Robinson has played for the Patriots, Jets and Giants but hasn't been able to stick on a roster for very long. He should be able to land with another organization as backfield depth before the 2023 regular season, but he might have to work his way up from a practice squad.
