George Springer Back From Ankle Injury
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (ankle) has returned to the starting lineup on Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Hunter Greene. Springer is playing right field and batting fifth for Toronto after sitting out the first two games of the series due to a jammed left ankle. Fantasy managers will want to get the 33-year-old veteran back in their starting lineups for the series finale against the Reds. Springer has been feeling it at the plate so far in August, going 18-for-57 (.316) with a homer, four doubles, seven RBI, three stolen bases and seven runs scored in 15 starts. He's hitting .257/.324/.391 with 14 homers, 48 RBI, 16 stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 463 at-bats this year in Toronto's potent lineup.
