Garrett Wilson Should Be OK
1 year agoNew York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) injured his ankle in training camp practice on Thursday and limped off the field and to the trainer's room, but all indications are that he'll be OK, according to head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets avoided a disaster early in camp, as it appears the 23-year-old avoided a serious injury. Wilson could miss a few days of practice, but he should be good to go for Week 1 of the regular season after thoroughly impressing in his rookie campaign in 2022 with over 1,000 yards receiving on 83 receptions. The Jets have more capable pass-catchers around him this year in Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman Jr., but Wilson should remain the top dog, and he could actually improve in his sophomore season with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers now running the offense.
