Gabe Davis to Visit With Steelers on Thursday
Gabe Davis (knee) is scheduled to visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Davis was released by the Jaguars on May 7 after tearing his meniscus in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions. The 26-year-old has also visited with the New York Giants this offseason and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season this fall, barring a setback with his knee. The Steelers are looking for another playmaker to pair with new receiver DK Metcalf after trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, and Davis could be that guy. If Davis were to sign with Pittsburgh, he'd be competing for the No. 2 role alongside Calvin Austin III and Robert Woods on a team with Mason Rudolph currently atop the quarterback depth chart. Davis has been a boom/bust fantasy wideouts in his NFL career.
