Evgeny Svechnikov Heads To KHL
1 year agoWinger Evgeny Svechnikov has ended his NHL stint, signing a two-year deal with KHL team Ak Bars Kazan. The 26-year-old is returning to his roots after playing junior hockey and making his professional debut for the Kazan team. Svechnikov spent six seasons in the NHL after being picked 19th by the Red Wings in the 2015 draft. He posted 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in 59 games with the Sharks last season and also played for the Jets in 2021-22. In total, Svechnikov managed 20 goals and 25 assists in 172 NHL appearances.
