Eloy Jimenez Still Out Against Mets
1 year agoAs expected, Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the New York Mets. Jimenez is expected to be out of action for the Pale Hose for four to five days after he injured his left groin on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves in the series finale. The oft-injured 26-year-old could still land on the injured list as well. Yasmani Grandal will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth on Tuesday against Mets veteran right-hander Carlos Carrasco. Jimenez has yet to steal a base in his major-league career, and he's currently batting .269 (65-for-242) with 12 home runs, 11 doubles, 40 RBI and 29 runs scored in 259 trips to the plate over 62 games played. All things considered, he's been a bit of a disappointment for fantasy managers. The good news is he'll be available off the bench.
