1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez is out of the starting lineup again on Friday for the start of a series against the Cleveland Guardians. Jimenez was also absent from the lineup for the series finale on Thursday against the Texas Rangers. The 26-year-old Dominican has been hitting well since July 20, going 15-for-43 (.349) with a home run, three doubles, seven RBI and four runs scored in 12 games. There's been no word of an injury for Jimenez, so it looks like Chicago is just giving him a few days to rest up. He's hitting .281/.325/.467 through 74 games and 305 plate appearances in 2023 with 13 home runs, 14 doubles, 47 RBI and 33 runs scored. Jimenez is still looking for the first stolen base of his career through 390 games played.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
