2 years agoThe Seattle Kraken claimed winger Eeli Tolvanen off waivers on Monday. The former first-round pick was placed on waivers Sunday by Nashville after he had sat out seven consecutive games as a healthy scratch. Tolvanen has shown flashes of brilliance since making his NHL debut in 2018, but he's been struggling for consistency throughout his young career and it kept him from establishing himself on the Predators team. The 23-year-old has skated in just 13 games this season, posting two goals and two assists. His career record reads 25 goals and 51 points in 135 outings. A change of scenery should do good for Tolvanen, but it remains to be seen if he can make himself fantasy-relevant in Seattle.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
