Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitching prospect Edgardo Henriquez (foot) began his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on May 29. Henriquez has been sidelined throughout the first two months of the season on the 60-day IL with a foot injury. In his first taste of action, Henriquez struggled as he allowed one hit, one run, and two walks across 2/3 of an inning. Last season, the 22-year-old made his MLB debut and tossed three 1/3 innings of one-run ball with five punchouts. He spent time with each level of the minor leagues and posted a cumulative 2.72 ERA with a 1.23 across 53 innings of work. During this stretch, Henriquez struck out an impressive 88 batters and allowed just 29 walks. When he does return from the IL, he will likely compete for a middle relief role in the major league bullpen.--Andy Smith
