Dwight Smith Starting Rehab Assignment
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Dwight Smith (concussion) will play the next two games with Triple-A Norfolk with his sights set on joining the team in Seattle. Smith has been out since June 6 with his head injury. He should return to regular playing time for the lowly Orioles as one of the bright spots on the squad this year. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .249/.296/.462 with 11 home runs, 31 runs scored, 41 RBI and four steals in his 225 at-bats. He can be useful in deep mixed and AL-only leagues as long as he continues to be a starter for Baltimore.
