Dolphins Place Jeff Wilson Jr. On Injured Reserve
1 year agoThe Miami Dolphins placed running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve in a surprising move on Thursday. The move means that Wilson will be ineligible to play in the first four games of the season. Rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) and Salvon Ahmed (head) should now have elevated roles in Miami's backfield behind starter Raheem Mostert to begin the season, although it's unclear if they'll even be ready for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Mostert's ADP will surely go up for fantasy drafts this weekend, but he looks like a pretty excellent value now for those who already drafted him. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Wilson is going to go undrafted now in most 12-team leagues.
