The New York Yankees are activating corner infielder DJ LeMahieu (calf) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener against the Seattle Mariners, according to Newsday's Erik Boland. It's unclear if LeMahieu will be in uniform in Seattle, but he has now rejoined the team as he looks to make his 2025 season debut. The 36-year-old veteran has yet to make his season debut due to a calf strain that he suffered in spring training, and he was recently set back by a hip ailment. In nine minor-league rehab games, the former two-time batting champion and three-time All-Star went 12-for-27 with a home run. The Yankees will most likely ease LeMahieu back into game action at the big-league level, but he could see notable playing time at second base in the Bronx with Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) out for an extended period. The oft-injured LeMahieu is looking to bounce back after hitting .204 in 67 games in 2024.--Keith Hernandez
