Devin Vassell Sits Out Saturday's Action
2 years agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Devin Vassell (ankle) has been ruled out of Saturday's matchup versus the Clippers. He is bothered by some left ankle soreness and is forced to come out of the lineup right after having a nice 29-point night against Sacramento. The 22-year-old is having a breakthrough campaign, averaging 20.4 points for the season with 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists. With him unavailable, Keldon Johnson should be able to get some extra shots, while Josh Richardson might be able to see 30 minutes for the first time this month. The latter logged his only two starts of the campaign during Vassell's four-game absence a few weeks ago, averaging 11.5 points with 4.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals.
