Derek Hill Going Through Full Baseball Activities
Derek Hill (wrist) is going through full baseball activities. Hill has been sidelined since April with a left wrist sprain. Hill was officially shifted to the 10-day injured list on April 18. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his progression, but it appears Hill is nearing a rehab assignment. Given the time he missed, Hill may only need a brief assignment before returning to Miami. Before his injury, Hill held a .167/.239/.286 slash line with one home run and three stolen bases. Under the hood, Hill generated a modest .224 xBA and a .289 xwOBA but placed in the 97th percentile in sprint speed. When he does return, he should compete for an everyday role in center field alongside Dane Myers and Jesus Sanchez.
