1 year agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Denzel Mims (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during training camp practice over the weekend. Mims was seen limping after taking a hard hit from safety Tracy Walker. Until we know more about the injury, Mims should be considered day-to-day, and he could be forced to sit out the team's preseason opener on Aug. 11 against the New York Giants. The 25-year-old former second-round pick was a bust for the New York Jets in three seasons and was traded to the Lions this offseason to serve as additional receiver depth. He should be left to the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues to begin the 2023 season, as he'll be playing behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds and Marvin Jones Jr.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
