Danny Duffy Goes Five Scoreless Innings To Beat Tigers
4 years agoKansas City Royals left-hander Danny Duffy tossed five scoreless innings in the team's 4-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, their third straight win over Detroit this weekend. Duffy's ERA now sits at 0.39 -- one earned run in 23 innings in four starts -- giving him the lowest ERA in the American League. The southpaw has been KC's most reliable starter to begin the season. Duffy allowed only four hits while striking out eight and walking none for the first time in 2021. The veteran hurler only faced real trouble in one inning. The 32-year-old is on a roll right now, and although it won't be this good all season, fantasy managers should be reaping the benefits while Duffy continues to pitch lights-out.
