Daniel Jones 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Increasingly Likely He Becomes Colts QB1
Daniel Jones might get action earlier than everyone was expecting for his new team. QB Anthony Richardson, who the team drafted in 2023, has been oft-injured in his short career, and currently is dealing with an aggravation to the shoulder joint sprain that ended his 2023 season, for which he had surgery. Even aside from injuries, Richardson has awful accuracy issues that could have doomed his chances to start in 2025 even if he weren't hurt. He's easily the least accurate quarterback in the league on short throws. Jones, for all his faults, is capable of playing on time and delivering reasonably accurate short-to-intermediate passes. And with even a middling offensive line, he could perform much better than he has in previous seasons. Jones won't be a QB1 in fantasy football by any means, but he's likely to immediately be a solid bet to start in 2QB/superflex leagues. He's absolutely worth a bench stash in all those leagues as well. He might start from Week 1 onwards and never lose his job this year.
