Dane Myers Not Expected to Play on Tuesday
Dane Myers (elbow) is expected to sit out of Tuesday's game against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies after he was beaned in the arm on Monday night, according to Isaac Azout. Myers was diagnosed with left-elbow discomfort, although X-rays came back negative, and the team is hopeful he can avoid the injured list. Fantasy managers will want to get the 29-year-old out of their lineups on Tuesday, although he could be back when the series continues on Wednesday. In his third season in Miami, Myers is hitting a strong .333 (43-for-129) with eight stolen bases, but he's provided fantasy managers with only four home runs, 18 RBI and 16 runs scored. He's making more contact this year and is a defensive asset for the Fish, but his lack of power and run production gives him a low fantasy ceiling and floor.
