Dallas Goedert Continues To Develop
6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end coach Justin Peelle said that tight end Dallas Goedert's development this offseason has been "phenomenal." It should allow Zach Ertz to move around more often this year. In his rookie season in 2018, the 24-year-old Goedert caught 33 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games. He has plenty of potential, but his ceiling will be limited as long as Ertz stays healthy. The Eagles also have a very crowded backfield and plenty of wide receivers that will require targets from quarterback Carson Wentz. Goedert has red-zone appeal as a touchdown-dependent TE2 with upside, but don't get too excited.
