Dak Prescott Extension Talks About To Heat Up
5 years agoDallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said the team's extension talks with quarterback Dak Prescott are about to heat up. “We want to get this done,” Jones said Thursday. “Things are fixing to heat up. We want to put every foot forward and try to grind this out and get a deal done.” If the Cowboys place the franchise tag on Prescott, there's a chance he will hold out of offseason workouts, which would be detrimental to the quarterback learning new head coach Mike McCarthy's offense. Prescott is the team's top priority this offseason, so we'd expect something to get done, but things could get messy if they're forced to use the franchise tag. Prescott is a rising young star and should be a high-end fantasy QB1 in 2020.
