Cowboys Not Ruling Out Reunion With Ezekiel Elliott
Ezekiel Elliott after Ronald Jones received a two-game suspension to start the 2023 season due to performance-enhancing drugs. When asked about the possibility of a reunion with Elliott, Jones said "we're reading the tea leaves." Dallas has been saying all along that they'd consider bringing Zeke back, but nothing has happened yet, and Elliott has also visited with the New England Patriots. Tony Pollard is the clear lead back in Big D now, but Elliott could return to fill a short-yardage and goal-line role once again, at least early in the season. With Jones suspended, Malik Davis, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn will compete for backup duties behind Pollard.
