As we discussed earlier in the preview for Cody Brundage, the BJJ game of his opponent proved to be too much. That was the case on Saturday, with Brundage suffering a first-round submission defeat to Rodolfo Vieira. In 6:28 of total action, Brundage was actually able to land 20 significant strikes while absorbing 10. Brundage had Vieira on the ropes in the first round, nearly finishing the BJJ ace with his striking. Vieira rebounded in the second round and locked in an arm triangle to finish Brundage. Brundage now moves to 2-3 in the UFC with back-to-back finishing losses.--Matt Bricker
