Christian Yelich Wallops Walk-Off Grand Slam Against Red Sox
Christian Yelich smacked a walk-off grand slam to lead the team to a 5-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. Yelich stepped to the plate against Red Sox right-hander Liam Hendriks with one out in the bottom of the 10th and ended the game with a 400-foot blast, his 10th of the year. It capped off a highly productive night for Yelich, who added a double and a stolen base during a 2-for-5 showing. With a .210/.296/.385 line across 226 plate appearances, the 33-year-old former MVP is off to a poor start this season. However, Yelich is currently enjoying a five-game hitting streak in which he has gone 9-for-21 with three homers, eight RBI, seven runs scored, and two steals. He'll attempt to keep rolling Wednesday against Red Sox righty Brayan Bello.
