Chris Sale Throws in Simulated Game Monday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale completed three innings of work against the organization's minor leaguers in a simulated game on Monday. He fanned five hitters, walked one, allowed three hits, and also hit a batter in the outing. The most important note is that his fastball sat between 91-93 mph as he continues his way back to throwing at 100 percent. While it is to be seen if he will appear in any Grapefruit League games this spring, the plan is for the southpaw to toe the rubber again in five days. Ultimately, Sale is one of the most dominant pitchers in all of baseball and is currently the second-ranked starter in the Rotoballer rankings.
