Chris Sale Goes Two Scoreless Innings In Spring Debut
2 years agoBoston Red Sox left-hander Chris Sale (wrist) allowed two hits and struck out two in two scoreless innings in his Grapefruit League debut against the Detroit Tigers on Monday. It was a nice spring debut for the 33-year-old starting pitcher. He is healthy in camp, but the Red Sox were bringing him along slowly after he made just two starts in 2022 due to various injuries, including a fractured wrist that required surgery. There's potential for Sale to return to ace status for fantasy managers, but it's hard to get past his injuries in recent seasons. He's made only 11 starts (48 1/3 innings) over the last three years for the Red Sox. RotoBaller currently has Sale ranked as the No. 48 fantasy starter.
