Chas McCormick Scratched With Bruised Knee
1 year agoHouston Astros manager Dusty Baker said that outfielder Chas McCormick (knee) was scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Baltimore Orioles due to a bruised left knee that he suffered while diving for a ball on Wednesday night. Baker said McCormick is "day-to-day." Mauricio Dubon will start in left field on Thursday and hit seventh against Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer. Hopefully McCormick will be able to return on Friday for the Astros. The 28-year-old outfielder is having his best season to date in his third big-league campaign, slashing .274/.366/.520 with an .885 OPS, 15 home runs, 13 doubles, two triples, 47 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 40 runs scored in 73 games. McCormick has been valuable in all fantasy formats this year.
