3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Charlie Morton will start in Game 1 of the World Series in Houston on Tuesday against his former team, the Houston Astros. Morton pitched for Houston in both 2017 and 2018 and earned the win for the Astros in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers by tossing the final four innings. The veteran right-hander also faced the Astros in the 2019 Division Series and the 2020 American League Championship Series. Morton has pitched well in three starts for Atlanta this postseason, posting a 3.77 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings, but the Astros will be a tough task on the road. It will be the third time in the last five years that Morton has pitched in the World Series, each time for a different team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
