Carlos Correa Back In Lineup For Twins
1 year agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (heel) is back at shortstop and is hitting in the cleanup spot for the Twins on Friday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Andre Jackson. Correa sat out of Wednesday's game due to heel soreness as he continues to play through plantar fasciitis, but he's feeling better after Thursday's off day and will return to the starting lineup. He'll be looking to extend his current hitting streak to 10 games on Friday. During his nine-game streak, Correa has gone 11-for-30 (.367) with three home runs, two doubles, nine RBI and six runs scored. The 28-year-old Puerto Rican has 15 home runs and 54 RBI in 416 at-bats, but he's hitting well under his career average of .274 at .231 (96-for-416) on the year.
