Washington Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan is looking to add a top-six forward to the team before the 2023-24 NHL campaign begins in nine weeks' time. The Capitals had a below-average offensive record last season and ended up missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2014. The team has already picked up Max Pacioretty in the summer, but he's recovering from an Achilles tear and won't be ready for the start of the season. Strengthening the team is a tricky task for MacLellan, as the Capitals are currently $700,000 over the salary cap.--Taavi PailkRead More News
