Byron Buxton Taking Live Batting Practice
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (shoulder) is taking live batting practice on Wednesday. Barring any setbacks in spring training, Buxton could be on track to be ready for Opening Day after having surgery to fix a torn labrum last August. As injury prone as they come, the 26-year-old also offers an enticing mix of power and speed from the center field spot in Minnesota. In just 271 at-bats in 2019, Buxton hit .262 with 10 long balls, 46 RBI and 14 stolen bases. Because of the injury risk, Buxton will likely go late in mixed league drafts, making him a potential steal because of the upside he offers. Keep a close eye on his health in camp.
