St. Louis Cardinals closer Bud Norris picked up a four-out save on Wednesday, striking out two batters in a perfect 1 1/3 innings of work. Norris was officially named the team's closer earlier in the day, as Greg Holland was removed from the committee-like monster manager Mike Matheny had created. There remains a chance Holland works his way back into the ninth-inning conversation later on this season, but it's Norris' job for now and for the foreseeable future. He got off to a good start, earning his sixth save of the year.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
