Bryson Stott Not In Game 1 Lineup
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies rookie shortstop Bryson Stott is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Despite hitting left-handed, Stott had been seeing regular playing time against left-handed pitchers at the end of the regular season. Instead, Edmundo Sosa will get the nod at the 6 and will hit ninth against Braves left-hander Max Fried. Sosa hit just .227/.275/.369 with two home runs, 21 RBI, 26 runs scored and six stolen bases in 176 at-bats with the Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals during the regular season. He didn't record a single plate appearance in the two Wild-Card Series games against the Cardinals over the weekend.
