Bryce Harper Out With Bruised Hand On Wednesday
5 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (hand) is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday in another showdown against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers after he bruised his right hand on a ball hit by Freddie Freeman in Tuesday night's 10-1 win. Harper is sore and will not give it a go on Wednesday after testing out his hand in the batting cages before the game. The 31-year-old two-time MVP came off the 10-day injured list on Tuesday from a hamstring strain to go 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Now he's dealing with a hand injury, although it doesn't appear to be too serious. Fantasy managers should consider Harper day-to-day and check back to see if he's back in there on Thursday for the series finale. Alec Bohm slides across the diamond to first base and will bat third on Wednesday, with Edmundo Sosa playing third and hitting seventh against Dodgers right-hander Gavin Stone.
