7 months agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce posted a goal, an assist and a plus-three rating with two shots, a blocked shot, a hit and a minor penalty in Saturday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Minnesota Wild. The 23-year-old rearguard struggled over his first three outings, going scoreless with a plus-2 rating and two penalty minutes. However, he has a goal in each of the past two contests, totaling three points with a plus-5 rating. Everyone from top to bottom is contributing to Carolina's fast start, but right now Pesce is still only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy pools.--Daniel E. Dobish - RotoBaller
