Brandon Nimmo Remains Out Thursday
1 year agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (quadriceps) remains out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. Rafael Ortega is starting in center field for the Mets and is hitting eighth against Royals right-hander Brady Singer. Nimmo will miss his third straight game after he was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with minor quadriceps tightness. The 30-year-old doesn't think it's anything serious, though, so hopefully he'll be back in the lineup on Friday for the start of a series against the Baltimore Orioles. When he's back, Nimmo will continue to serve as the Mets' leadoff hitter the rest of the way. He's valuable in all fantasy leagues for his on-base percentage (.353) and runs scored (61), and he also has 15 home runs in 399 at-bats.
