Brad Peacock Lacking Impact As Starter
6 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Brad Peacock allowed three runs on six hits through five innings of work Monday night in a 9-5 loss to the Twins. Peacock (2-1) has served as a swing man in the Astros rotation and Monday was his first start since April 7. Peacock has proved to be valuable in fantasy circles the past two seasons, averaging 12.13 K/9 while serving as a starter and middle reliever. But Peacock has struck out only 17 hitters through 21 innings pitched thus far with an ERA currently sitting at 4.29. Unless those strikeout numbers improve, Peacock is not worth a look in shallow mixed leagues.
