1 year agoThe Toronto Blue Jays selected the contract of rookie infielder Davis Schneider from the minors and optioned infielder Ernie Clement to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. The Jays also reinstated right-hander Jay Jackson from the family medical emergency list and designated right-hander Thomas Hatch for assignment. Schneider is the team's No. 28 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, gets the call after hitting .275 (85-for-309) with 21 home runs, 64 RBI, nine stolen bases and 61 runs scored in 87 games for Buffalo this year. The 24-year-old is unlikely to see consistent playing time at the big-league level, though, so fantasy managers in single-year formats shouldn't spend too much trying to pick him up off the waiver wire.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
