2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) was not in a walking boot when he came into the team's locker room on Monday. Mayfield suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 5 and was inactive for the Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. It's highly unlikely that he'll be active in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, either. Sam Darnold (ankle) continues to rehab from an ankle injury of his own and remains on Injured Reserve, so it's fully expected that P.J. Walker will make his second straight start this weekend against Tampa. In his first start of the season against LA, Walker went 10-for-16 for just 60 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He'll be a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues if he makes another start against the Bucs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
