3 years agoThe Houston Astros placed right-hander Jose Urquidy (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with right shoulder discomfort and selected the contract of left-hander Ryan Hartman from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. Francis Martes was also designated for assignment. Urquidy left his start early on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles after just 1 1/3 innings after his velocity was significantly down. It's a tough blow for the 'Stros and fantasy managers, as the 26-year-old was 6-3 on the year with a solid 3.38 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 66/13 K/BB in 14 starts over 77 1/3 innings in 2021. It's unclear who might take Urquidy's rotation spot, but he deserves to be held onto in all fantasy formats with the way he's pitched this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
