Aric Almirola's Starting Position Makes Him A Risky DFS Play
5 years agoStewart Haas Racing's Aric Almirola will roll off second for Wednesday's Blue Emu 500 at Martinsville Speedway. In 10 races this season, Almirola has finished with a negative place differential eight times, including the past two races at Bristol and Atlanta, both of which saw Almirola start second. Almirola has also struggled at Martinsville in the past. A ninth-place run last Spring was is first top 10 there since 2014, and he hasn't finished with a positive place differential at this track since 2016. If Almirola had drew a spot further back, he might have been worth a look in DFS lineups, but there's too much downside based on what we've seen from the 10 car in 2020.
