Anthony Rendon Out Monday With Soreness
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon is being held out of the team's spring game on Monday due to "soreness," according to manager Joe Maddon. There's no reason for the Angels to rush their star third baseman early in spring training. Fantasy managers that have already drafted the 30-year-old should have nothing to worry about as we approach the 2021 regular season. Rendon hit .286/.418/.497 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 52 games in the shortened 2020 season, and while nobody is absolutely blown away by those numbers in a small sample size, it was still a 30-homer, 100-RBI pace in his first season with the Angels. At a current ADP of 41, Rendon represents a solid value in the early rounds of fantasy drafts as a top-five third baseman.
