1 year agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony Edwards was Team USA's top scorer with 15 points Saturday in an easy 92-62 victory over a Luka Doncic-less Slovenia team. The Americans produced a very balanced effort, as all 12 players scored and nine finished with at least six points. Edwards also had 15 points and was tied for the team-high mark in Team USA's first pre-World Cup exhibition game versus Puerto Rico. He appears full of confidence, which should be a great thing for the national team and also the T-Wolves when the new NBA campaign eventually beings. "I can score the ball;" Edwards said following the Puerto Rico game. "I don't care about the leader. That's what I do, I score the ball. So, why would I come out here and try to do something else?" Edwards netted 24.6 points for Minnesota last season, and he looks set for a great World Cup as well.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
