Andy Dalton Hasn't Progressed In Concussion Protocol
4 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton (concussion) attended meetings on Wednesday morning, but he hasn't progressed enough in the concussion protocol to attend position meetings and will not practice on Wednesday. Head coach Mike McCarthy doesn't expect Dalton to be available until the "end of the week at the earliest." It's looking increasingly likely that rookie Ben DiNucci will get the start in Week 8 against the Eagles. DiNucci went 2-for-3 for 39 yards and was sacked three times in place of Dalton last week against Washington. He'll be an unattractive QB2 if he makes his first career start, while Dallas' pass-catchers should be downgraded. Fire up the Eagles Defense with confidence if DiNucci is under center this weekend.
