1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder/first baseman Andrew Vaughn (foot) remains out of the team's lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Twins. Gavin Sheets is making the start at first base and is hitting seventh in the batting order against Twins right-hander Joe Ryan. X-rays came back on Vaughn's injured foot, but he'll still miss his third straight game this week as he recovers. For now, consider the 25-year-old to be day-to-day. Hopefully, he'll be able to return to the diamond for the Pale Hose on Saturday. The former first-rounder has yet to homer in July and is hitting .188 (9-for-48) with a double, four RBI, 15 strikeouts and four runs scored in 12 games this month. Once he does return, fantasy managers may want to keep him out until he shows signs of life at the plate.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
