Andrew McCutchen Returns To The Lineup Monday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen (oblique) is back in the starting lineup on Monday against the Chicago Cubs after exiting the game early on Sunday with tightness in his oblique. McCutchen is back in left field and is hitting cleanup against Cubs right-hander Zach Davies. It's a good time for him to return, too, since he's hitting .364 with a homer and four RBI in 11 career at-bats against Davies. The veteran outfielder hasn't made a ton of contact this year, though, and is hitting just .227/.350/.422, but he does have a useful 13 home runs, 41 RBI and six stolen bases in 76 games for the Phillies. The soft-tossing Davies doesn't miss a ton of bats himself, so McCutchen is a fine daily play to begin the week.
