New York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev produced his best performance of the season on Sunday with a 44-save shutout in a 2-0 victory over Carolina. It's the second-most saves a Rangers goaltender has had in a shutout since 1955-56 when the NHL started tracking shots on goal. Georgiev picked up his first shutout of the season and has now won back-to-back starts to improve his record to 9-9-2. The Russian netminder hasn't had a great time since the turn of the year, but he should get plenty of confidence from his last couple of outings, which have improved Georgiev's goals-against average to 2.99 and save percentage to .899.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
