4 years agoFree-agent running back Adrian Peterson, who was released by the Washington Football Team on Friday, still wants to continue playing at the age of 35, according to a source. It was a surprising move, especially since Derrius Guice is also out of the picture in D.C., but the Washington Football Team is comfortable moving forward with rookie Antonio Gibson, Bryce Love and Peyton Barber in the backfield. Peterson, a surefire future Hall of Famer, still has a little gas left in the tank, but his days of being a fantasy stalwart are clearly over, and he's unlikely to be much more than an RB3/4 if he lands with another team for the 2020 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
