Adam Duvall Sitting Versus Right-Hander
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is out of Boston's starting lineup against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Dane Dunning on Tuesday. It's the third straight game that Duvall has been benched against a right-handed pitcher. Jarren Duran is in center field and batting leadoff, with Justin Turner serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth. Duvall was insanely hot at the dish early in the year before landing on the injured list, but he's hit just .154 (10-for-65) with one home run, four doubles, four RBI and 26 strikeouts in 19 games since returning on June 9. The 34-year-old right-handed slugger has gone 4-for-31 (.129) with no homers, two doubles, one RBI and 14 K's in his last nine games. Duvall's fantasy stock is in a freefall right now.
