Adalberto Mejia Confident He'll Make Next Start
Adalberto Mejia (wrist) is confident that he'll make his next start on Sunday against the Tigers. Mejia's wrist stinger ran up the outside of his arm, not the inside, which would suggest that he avoided a dreaded UCL injury. The left-hander picked up the win against the Indians on Tuesday by allowing only one hit in five scoreless innings with one walk and three strikeouts. Mejia has been solid for Minnesota, going 2-0 with a 2.01 ERA, but his 86.5 left-on-base percentage, .239 BABIP and weak 5.24 K/9 should raise suspicions that this won't last. Still, he'll be a recommended play this Sunday if he faces Detroit.
