Aaron Nola To Throw Bullpen Thursday
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola (flu) is feeling better and will throw a bullpen session on Thursday, according to manager Joe Girardi. If Nola gets through his bullpen session, he'll move to a simulated game on Saturday and could be back in Grapefruit League action next week. The 26-year-old right-hander disappointed a bit in 2019 after being named to the All-Star team for the first time in 2018. He had a 3.87 ERA and 1.27 WHIP while striking out 229 and walking 80 in 34 starts (202 1/3 innings). Nola will still be a high-end SP2 for fantasy owners, as he's fanned 200-plus hitters each of the last two seasons, and he had a career-high 10.2 K/9 last year.
